As the nights draw in, we’re opening the Cellar Door for a Dark Sky Dinner - an evening shaped by seasonality, storytelling, and the stars above.

Set within the Dark Sky Reserve, our Cellar Door offers one of the best places in the world to witness Matariki. This experience brings together good food, thoughtful wines, and the quiet clarity of a winter sky.

The evening begins at 6.00pm with a welcome glass of Blanc de Noir, before guests are seated for a relaxed, shared dining experience. YYou’ll enjoy an entrée of tomato, ricotta and parmesan tartlet with rocket, followed by your choice of either a vegetarian lasagne featuring kūmara or a Kaimoana Mornay with fry bread & each paired with a selection of URLAR wines including Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, and Viognier.  

Throughout the evening, we’ll share more about our biodynamic approach and its connection to the rhythms of land and sky. As night settles in, Hari and Sam from Star Safari will guide you through the stories above, before stepping outside for stargazing through telescopes. While you wait, enjoy hot chocolate and horopito star shortbread.

The evening concludes at 8.30pm.
