Grown across URLAR's Cliffs and Gladstone vineyards, this Viognier is made with a good portion of whole-bunch pressing, and part of the wine fermented in neutral oak for added texture - a considered approach to one of the more distinctive aromatic white varieties grown in New Zealand.

Aroma

Pure white florals and refreshing mandarin skin, with a hint of Turkish delight, ripe peaches, orange blossom, jasmine and pear.

Tastes

Outstanding, rich, mouth-filling acidity reminiscent of a good Meyer lemon, layered with abundant ripe summer stone fruit and fresh navel orange, hints of mandarin pith and vanilla, and great length with a gentle texture. Pair with roast chicken, creamy curries, or firm white fish.
