URLAR's dessert wine is made from 100% Riesling grown on our certified organic, vegan-friendly vineyard in Gladstone, Wairarapa. Concentrated, botrytis-affected bunches are hand-harvested in the cool of the morning, then given overnight skin contact to maximise flavour before a slow, gentle press - a labour of love that produces a genuinely special dessert wine.

Aroma

A vibrant mix of dried apricot, honeycomb and butterscotch, layered with candied citrus, nougat and roasted almonds, lifted by amaretto, chamomile, orange blossom and lime zest.

Tastes

Silky and balanced, with caramelised stone fruit, honey and almond flavours. Bright acidity lifts the natural sweetness, keeping the wine elegant rather than heavy, with notes of candied lemon, dried mango and spiced pear lingering on a long, graceful finish. Cellar it for 5-12 years, or enjoy now alongside blue cheese, a fruit tart, or a bowl of poached stone fruit shared with friends.
